Formerly
a browser for use in the
non-PC world. It was a product of Navio Communications whose parent
company
and founder was Netscape Communications. Navio was purchased by
Oracle's
NCI and later by Liberate. Its market was primarily game
consoles,
Set-top Boxes and televisions. It tried to compete with
Microsoft's
Windows CE operating systems for use in PDAs and other intelligent
appliances
but complained of discrimination by Microsoft.
