TV Announcement Filter
- An announcement filter distinguishes between those announcements that
could be of interest to a particular platform and the announcements
that are not applicable to users
using an incompatible platform.
For instance, if a viewer is using an OpenTV
platform and another is using a Microsoft MSNŽTV platform, if the
interactive TV content is only available for the viewer using
MSNŽTV
(or
vice versa,) then the announcement filter would make sure the OpenTV
platform viewers would be not be alerted as to it's existence.
