Simulcrypt - Simulcrypted IRDs utilize only one Conditional Access System (CAS). However, the information of two or more CASs are inserted in the signals of the broadcasted services that those IRDs receive. Thus different makes and models of IRDs using different CASs can de-scramble the signal.
