RTSP (Real Time
Streaming Protocol) - (RFC 2326) - RTSP was designed for
more efficient and developed delivery of streamed multimedia over IP
networks. Real Networks, Columbia University and Netscape
Communications jointly developed RTSP in the MMUSIC working group
of the Internet
Engineering Task Force (IETF). It was published in April of
1998 as a Proposed Standard by the IETF.
