Associated with Passive Interactive TV, Socially Passive TV.) - (1) An interactive television application might have two modes, Passive and the opposite, Active. In the Passive mode, there is little or no interactivity available. It's the opposite when set to "Active". During the Passive mode, an unobtrusive icon may be displayed on the screen that when activated can offer interactive TV related options. (2) TV viewing without interactive TV.
