Digital Subscriber Line - (HDSL) - HDSL is an xDSL technology
that provides the same amount of bandwidth both upstream and
downstream. Its speed (at
the time of this writing)
is 1.544 Mbps over two copper pairs of twisted
wire and 2.048
Mbps over three copper pairs of twisted wire. It's often used by
telephone companies.
