Direct-response Interactive TV - This is
a form of addressable advertising capable of targeting households by
psychographic profiling and demographics. For instances, if you only
wanted to reach known home gardeners in Seattle Washington instead as
thousands in that area who may or may not be home gardeners, this is a
way to do it. Advertisers are now able to place an offer or information
on their television advertisement which a viewer who is more likely to
be interested in it, can view and further investigate typically via
their remote control device. These programs have the potential to lower
overall cost per inquiry and are also highly measurable. See Advertising using Interactive TV.
