Descriptive Video Service – (DVS) – This is a service somewhat like closed captioning. DVS however makes media more accessible to blind and visually impaired audiences (versus the deaf & hard of hearing.) DVS uses an additional audio track to verbally describe the visual elements of a program in the pauses between dialogs.
