Content and Service Discovery Guides (CSDGs) - Content and Service Discovery Guides (CSDGs) search for and "discover" content from over the Internet and/or from home networks and/or other sources. ROVI (formerly Macrovision), which acquired Gemstar-TV guide, as well as Muze and Mediabolic, have (at least at the time of this writing) a particular interest in CSDGs.

It's possible that CSDGs will replace Electronic Program Guides and Interactive Program Guides as television content gets progressively more supplemented with content from the Internet and from consumers' own personal home network libraries. See Internet-connected TVs.
