CIF - (Common Image Format) - (Associated with SIF & QCIT) - (https) A standard image format like the JPEG.  It can be used for digital high definition or to a lesser extent standard definition. (2) An international standard for video display formats developed by the TSS. QCIF is used in many desktop videoconferencing applications.
