Churn - Churn is the propensity
of subscribers, such as cable,
telco, terrestrial or satellite TV subscribers, to
stop taking
that service because they're moving, no longer interested, can no
longer afford it etc. Interactive
TV and DVRs
help cut down on churn. When DirecTV first
partnered with TiVo, not only were they able to use the DVR to attract
cable subscribers to satellite, but they also saw a significant
reduction in churn from subscribers who were using the DVR.
