CCITT - (Consultative Committee for International Telegraph and Telephone) - Former name for the international organization that's now called The International Telecommunication Union Telecommunication Standardization Sector, or ITU-TSS. The ITU-TSS develops communications standards, known as "Recommendations," for internally controlled forms of analog and digital communication.
